Wall-E
Amazing.
I had my doubts about this, as I thought the robot 'voices' would grate after a while, but they humanized them just enough that they didn't. I do have two gripes with it.
One was with the fat people on the cruiser. At first, it seems to be a comment on humanity and the way we're going, which is great, but then the computer states that everyone, due to microgravity, will have experienced bone loss, which accounts for the fatness. This lets humanity off the hook and frankly gave me the shits. Also, if they had never stood before or had experienced bone loss, how did they become mobile so quickly.
Second gripe was the plant. At the end, there was a mountain of them, was that planted by Wall-E before or a jump in time? And how did they escape (a) Eva finding them if they were planted by Wall-E and (b) the terrible dust storms that wipe over the city quite regularly?
If anyone can help..?
