The Intimidator's Top Ten
The February 2011 Daytona 500 starts off another great season of NASCAR Sprint Cup racing, but it also marks the 10th anniversary of Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s death at the world famous speedway. Some don't care, but most do. Love him or hate him, Dale Earnhardt defined NASCAR racing for four decades. He is the only driver that came close to Richard Petty's stats with seven NASCAR Sprint Cup championships.
His death sparked emotions in fans on both sides and spurred NASCAR into making significant changes that have saved lives. The wrecks that have occurred since his death could have taken the lives of many young drivers, but because of the attention that last wreck drew NASCAR now has safer cars, safer walls and safer seats. The irony is that Earnhardt was not the "safe" driver and some of his most memorable races define his tenacity and win at all costs attitude. Here is a list of some of Earnhardt's most memorable races (in chronological order only).
