Results of the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Subway Fresh Fit 500 at PIR
Jeff Gordon led 138 of the 394 laps in the 2011 Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway to end a losing streak that last almost three season. Gordon won after 66 races without
a win and after eight second place finishes last season. Several of which should have been wins for the Drive4Hunger driver.
Kyle Busch, who was on his way to sweeping the three races at Phoenix this weekend could not hold off a charging Gordon. Jimmie Johnson rebounded from his terrible luck in Daytona with a third place finish followed by Kevin Harvick in fourth, who also had terrible luck in the season opener. Ryan Newman, who won this race in 2010, rounded out the top five.
