Bobby Labonte Has New Life In 2011

With all the young guys coming into top level NASCAR racing it's easy to forget about some of the guys who fall by the wayside due to car owners that didn't make long term business plans for their race teams. Bobby Labonte was the 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion and along with Tony Stewart raised Joe Gibbs Racing to one of the premier teams in NASCAR. Under the Coach's guidance and complete long term business plan Labonte just had to drive.

After leaving Joe Gibb's Racing and putting in some good years with Richard Petty's #43 Bobby Labonte made the daring move to Hall Of Fame Racing. On the surface it wasn't a bad move. Labonte had success with football related NASCAR teams. Owner Jeff Moorad came with a sports pedigree, owning part of the Arizona Diamondbacks and brokering a deal to gain control of the San Diego Padres in 2009. Along with Troy Aikman and Roger Starbach, they had significant name power to assure quality sponsorship.

Roger Staubach, right? Or is there a Roger Starbach? Just asking, not trying to insult. I actually want to know if there is a Roger Starbach because that would be cool; or was it just a typo? Anyway, I think Labonte's new team should have some success.

No Joe, you're right. Definitely Staubach....BAD TYPO. I usually check my work better than that. Oh well. And those Yahoo comments can be kind of harsh. Just have to make sure I edit better next time. I still stick to my analysis though. Labonte is gonna make somewhat of a comeback this season. May not be a Chase run, but it will be significant.

Don't listen to the comments on Yahoo! You know much more about what you're talking about than they do. Most of them are really stupid. Just read some of their opinions. Besides, none of them write or know how difficult it is to write. Proofreading ain't easy either. Your brain reads over your mistakes, and the brain has the ability to correct mistakes in your head so you actually don't see anything wrong with what you wrote.
