NASCAR Says
After years of debate and complaining NASCAR has finally taken a definitive stand on Sprint Cup drivers pulling double duty to run for multiple championships in NASCAR's top tier series. It was announced this week that drivers must pick the championship they will compete for when they fill out their NASCAR license application.
On the 2011 application there is a section that asks which of the top three touring series the driver will choose to earn championship points in. Finally NASCAR has taken a stand on a complaint that has run through the garage for years. It may be 'fun' for the driver, but as a fan it's frustrating to see drivers like Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski run away with the Nationwide Series championship and floor the less experienced competition.
