My involvement in the sport dates back to the beginning of NASCAR's modern era. NASCAR Pit Crew Steals The Title

With all the noise about Jimmie Johnson, somebody might want to point out that his crew absolutely sucks. Not only could they not get the job done for the #48 Lowes Chevy, but when Rick Hendrick made the over-the-wall crew swap between the #24 and #48 to help Johnson win his fifth straight championship, he screwed the #24 crew out of a lot of bonus money


Gordon's crew had been leading the fight for the Tissot Pit Road Precision Award. The fastest crew each week wins $5000 and a set of Tissot watches. At the end of the year, the leading crew wins a trip to the Nascar Sprint Cup Banquet to be awarded $105,000 and another set of Tissot watches.

This season the Tissot award ended up in a four way tie for first place.......
