NASCAR Finally Screwed Up The Budweiser Shootout
NASCAR announced the lineup for the 2011 Budweiser Shootout at Daytona International Speedway after overhauling the rules. The new rules will include:
• The 12 drivers that qualified for the 2010 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup
• Past NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champions
• Past Budweiser Shootout champions
• Past Daytona 500 and Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola champions
• NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year drivers from 2001-2010
On the surface this looks all fine and good, but when you dig a little deeper to see who is actually qualified to be in the race, it starts to look like maybe NASCAR did not think this thing through. I did not pay much attention until I heard about Brad Keselowski complaining. I thought "what is he whining about now". Carl Edwards probably isn't in the same state as Keselowski right now.
