Are NASCAR fans tired of Jimmie Johnson?

We've all heard it before. If that #48 wins another one, I'm just going stop watching NASCAR altogether. Jimmie Johnson's winning streak will be put to the test at the NASCAR Sprint Cup season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend. In an unscripted twist of fate and fuel mileage the whole complexion of an already action packed Chase for The Championship has been turned upside down.


Jimmie Johnson in his #48 Lowes Chevy is still in the hunt for his fifth Sprint Cup Championship. After the Kobalt Tools 500 at Phoenix International Raceway Johnson sits 2nd in points separated from first place Denny Hamlin in his #11 Joe Gibbs(notes) FedEx Toyota by only 15 markers. Kevin Harvick in the #29 Richard Childress Racing prepared Chevy fills the bird dog seat in 3rd place only 46 points behind Hamlin and 31 points behind Johnson the four time champion.
